Previous to using CORE, we purchased a high cost product that if WE messed up on installing it, it cost us almost the same as the customer paid for a now dead unit. It was also much harder to put on. Our biggest challenge prior to CORE was keeping enough glass in stock (it was challenging to find it in large quantities) and it was difficult to install. It was frustrating constantly having to look for different brand screen protectors to keep enough stock to meet demand. And many times we would waste one or two protectors trying to put it on correctly. At first, just being able to purchase in bulk from CORE was great! Prior to finding CORE, we were struggling to find complimentary products which rose to the high level of quality the Apple customer expects. We were using no-name screen protectors which were prone to failure and were often out of stock. Our case selection was a mixed bag of models, colors, and brands which often left our customers confused. On top of all that, the glass and cases were either low margin or easily cross shopped limiting our ability to charge a living wage. Once we brought CORE products into our store we pretty much solved all our woes in one fell swoop. The quality of your screen protectors is bar none. I know when we sell one, we’re creating happy customers. Your case products allow us to stock the same model and color for each model phone so when a customer gets one for his phone, it’s easy for them to select a matching case for their spouse. And in those incredibly rare cases where there is a problem CORE customer service has been a dream to work with. The price of CORE products is incredibly reasonable and since they are only available to fellow Apple dealers, there is effectively no cross shopping. We charge a fair price and enjoy healthy margins. Since having CORE, our attach rate of both screen protectors and phone cases is way up. My staff preach the gospel of screen proctors and cases as a low cost way to increase the life expectancy of customers phones. I will say this, having CORE in our store has made iPhone repair services far more profitable. We’re not only fixing the phone but typically adding a screen protector and case. As you can imagine, there isn’t a lot of margin when doing a $29 iPhone display but adding two accessories can really make those AppleCare service events profitable and ultimately increase customer satisfaction with their device. It truly is win-win!
